Band is a fun and exciting course to take; you gain much more than what you expect.
Other than learning to play different kinds of music, you will also learn some useful permanent
life-skills such as communicating with each other and building self-confidence to perform in front
of the audience which help you to shine in the future.
Our musical students do not practise for nothing. We hold several concerts every year.
Concert is an excellent opportunity that allows students to be proud of themselves and
to show their talents to friends and families. Performers often find that the claps from the
audience are inexpressibly encouraging, and it chases their nervousness away.
Grade 9-12 students also participate in day and overnight tours (provincial, national, and international destinations).
These groups present their performances to audiences outside of North Vancouver through the trips.
Field trips are always a good chance for students to spend their time with each other and learn
about different parts of the world.
The amazing events that we have every year are countless.
